Metalife: The Life We Live While We’re Busy Doing Something Else takes a simple idea and applies it to real-life situations with surprising results.

 

The idea is this: We don’t just use communication tools; we embody them. As a consequence, communication tools change our thinking, our personal narratives, our social structures, the ways we work, and especially what we value and how we live. The name for this embodiment, this other life, is “Metalife.”

 

Metalife the book, to be published soon, combines a series of profiles and stories that explain and explore the manifestations of Metalife and then shows readers how to take the concepts from the theoretical to the practical, providing relatable applications for a variety of situations.
